The first book you should read before starting a small business.
Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill is an all-time classic. It should be a must read for anyone looking to improve themselves, whether in business or life.
This book can help answer the question What do you want Most? Is it Money, Fame, Power, Contentment, Happiness? Even though the book was written more than 70 years ago the philosophies Mr. Hill wrote about still apply today.
In this book he discusses the Thirteen Steps to Riches which is the secret to money making and success that had made fortunes for some of the most successful people of his time. To gain this secret he was given an assignment by Andrew Carneige to go out and interview five hundred of these successful men and learn what it was and what they had in common that made them successful.
These were men such as Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, John D. Rockefeller, George Eastman, William Wrigley Jr. and Charles Schwab. This book conveys their expereince and philosophy and not only describes what to do but how to do it.
One takeaway I got from this book was that all of these men followed the habit of exchanging ideas through conferences. When they had a problem to solve they got together and talked freely until they came up with a plan that would help them. Today this is commonly called a Master Mind principle and is practiced by many groups and organizations all over the world.
You may not need all the ideas that are in this book but somewhere in this book you will find one idea or one suggestion that will help you tremendously. This one of those books that can literally change your life.
By far my favorite success book!
This book tops all of the other success books out there! Maybe its because it was written in the 30s. He writes every technique out there from psychology, to "what to do in case...", and his words are very well written and thought out. Not only is it a learning book, but its also an interesting read, which isnt common. The main reason why this book is gold is because he ties money with success even though it isnt. not many success books are about money because it isnt. success isnt money. but some how he ties them together. Thats amazing!!

Simple and true concept
I read this book when I was broke, depressed and hopeless. I am not going to say I read the book and my life turned around immediately. I read the book and was inspired to get out and do something about my situation. This book will give you inspirational stories and ideas to help you improve your situation. Not just monetarily but emotionally as well.
