This is a new addition to the description. I've not blended it in with the description below because I'm happy with it as it is. from the bit of feedback that I've had, I've got the feeling that people are looking for something other than a back to basics approach, which happens to be my approach to frugal living. I know that it takes a bit a bit of effort, but I like it because it works and it offers the opportunity to save the most money.
I was having a think if there was anything else that I could have added and I have managed to come up with something. Strictly speaking it's not quite frugal living, but it is a way to make frugal living pay you. My new thoughts form the now final chapter. This really isn't for everyone. There will be those who lack the confidence, those who aren't interested, and those who see the potential.
Before I start please let me say that there is NO MAGIC FORMULA, no secret no underground ninja tricks, no secret anything to frugal living, it doesn't exist, if you want to save money by frugal living then all you have to do is to cut back on your spending and that's it. Sounds simple doesn't it, but like all great theories putting it into practice is another matter entirely! So what do I know about frugal living? Fair question. I had a car crash in 1998 which has severely limited my ability to work, unfortunately I'm just to scary a proposition for employers (I know, I know shame on me). My inability to work has severley restricted my income and as a consequence I have become highly experienced in the art of frugal living. Whilst I don't lead the most dynamic of lives I can pay my bills, I eat well, and I've even been known to wear designer labels.
At the time of typing there are 22,200 exact searches a month on Google for frugal living, not counting all the other search engines and of course Amazon. Whether it's enforced or voluntary taking on a frugal lifestyle is a massive lifestyle change. How many people have tried to find the answer to something only to find that they knew it all the time. How many people are uncertain about frugal living, they know that it will save them money, but they are concerned about the compromise to their lifestyle that they will have to make. And how many people are searching for an answer to which they don't know the question.
This book had been written to show you that just because you are frugal living it doesn't mean that you don't have a decent standard of living!
This book looks into the areas that you can save money and runs you through them. It has been mentioned that I mention nothing new, although I'm at a loss to know what these new strategies can be?
What you do depends on your personal circumstances, what facilities that you have in your local area, and what you are prepared to sacrifice. Some people will sacrifice more, some less, and some will have no choice in what they do, but regardless of who you are you will have to make sacrifices and compromises.
We live in a world of convenience and to a degree you are going to have to forget about that. Frugal living will take effort on your part, although I will say that it can be very satisfying when you track down a good bargain :)
It's really great if you have all these wonderful plans to save money, but unless you take action then you are just blowing in the wind.
Until you say that this is what I will do and I will do it now, then your brave words are nothing but idle dreams.
Through frugal living you really can save a lot of money, the question is, what goals will you set yourself, and do you have the willpower to leave the world of convenience behind and achieve them?
This book is your call to action. Actually take the time to read it, formulate your plan of action and then DO IT!!!
